Inspired by Felix Gonzalez-Torres’s Untitled (L.A.), which is on display at the Herron School of Art + Design as part of their current exhibition Give and Take, Dance Kaleidoscope has collaborated with composer Jordan Munson to present a FREE one-night-only public performance at the Herron School of Art + Design, inside the Berkshire, Reese, and Paul Galleries in Eskenazi Hall.
This new work highlights the relationship between movement and the consumption or taking of the green candy that makes up González-Torres’ piece. The performance will feature live music and dancing and a reception afterwards. Complimentary parking is generously provided by The Great Frame Up (validation provided at the event) is available in the Sports Complex Garage adjacent to Eskenazi Hall or on levels 5 and 6 of the Riverwalk Garage.
