October 20-23, 2017 • IRT OneAmerica Stage
Peace out with an entertaining, wonderfully evocative two acts of dance to the music of The Beatles. Act one is called Innocence and includes the songs "The Fool on the Hill," "All You Need is Love," and "Two of Us." Act two (Decadence) is much more psychedelic and includes "Strawberry Fields," "Lady Madonna" and "Yesterday." The wild costumes by Barry Doss range from 1960s-inspired real clothing, to hypnotic over-the-top clothes, and finally to a cleansing simplicity.
A Kaleidoscope of Christmas
DK dancers in "Ceremony of Carols"
November 30 - December 10, 2017 • IRT Upperstage
Come get merry with us! This year, we're offering festive Christmas performances that are a great alternative to the more traditional holiday shows out there. Ceremony of Carols is a beautiful piece that features dancers in angelic white costumes by Cheryl Sparks, dancing to the glorious music of Benjamin Britten. Act two (World Christmas Kaleidoscope) will be a smorgasbord of music and styles from all over the globe. This delightful show will run for two weeks.
DIVOS (The Men)
April 5-8, 2018 • IRT OneAmerica Stage
Who's your favorite male vocalist? Prince? Josh Groban? Bruce Springsteen? The DK dancers have been offered the opportunity to choose a song by their favorite DIVO (male version of Diva) and to choreograph a piece to it. This was wildly successful with DIVAS in our 2016-17 season, so we deceided we should give male singers the same chance. Guest choreographer Nicholas A. Owens and DK Artistic Director David Hochoy will also choreograph pieces for this lively performance.

May 31 - June 3, 2018 • IRT OneAmerica Stage
This will be a landmark performance for Dance Kaleidoscope. We are proud to present Matha Graham's world-famous masterpiece Appalachian Spring, set to the music of Aaron Copland. DK will use the sets and costumes from the Martha Graham Dance Company to offer Martha's true vision for the piece. Interestingly, DK Artistic Director David Hochoy helped maintain the integrity of this piece when he was Rehearsal Director for Martha Graham in New York City. The performance will also include David Hochoy's The Rite of Spring, set to the music of Igor Stravinsky.
Subscribers save money off the price of single tickets and can choose the best seats in the theater. Call the Dance Kaleidoscope office at 317-940-6555 for more information, or print and mail the form below. See you at the theater!
