We returned to the studio on Tuesday and immediately started working on Magical Mystery Tour. It has been three years since we performed this audience favorite, and many of the cast members are new. Significantly, the lead role will be danced by Tim June, and I am very much looking forward to see what nuances he will bring to the role. Martha Graham used to tell us "There is only one of you in this world, and each one of you has something to contribute."
On Thursday along with cast members from Motus and No Exit Performance we performed a "happening" at the Arts Council of Indianapolis' Start With Art Luncheon at the downtown Marriott with music especially composed and played live by Cathy Morris and her band. By the end of the week we had made some progress into MMT, and on Friday paused to rehearse "The Best of Super Soul" which we will be performing at the Penrod Arts Fair at Noon next Saturday September 8.
