More work on Pictures this week.  The sections are beginning to come together nicely.  The first section is now called "Gargoyles" and has a lot of distorted shapes and lifts.  We were also able to finish the double duet with Libby/Tim and Mariel/George before Mariel left for a few days off.  It is a very beautiful section containing lyrical and sustained movement with some gorgeous lifts.  The latter part of the week we worked on "Tuileries" which turned out to be bright and sprightly for four couples, a short jumping solo for Noah and quite a bit of work on "Bydlo" counterpointing the slow steady progress of a group of five against the incessant activity of the four couples.  It all builds to a climactic high point which I hope will send chills down the audience's spine!

We also performed our school show twice on Friday.
